Yaupon is North America’s only native caffeinated plant, naturally growing along the southeastern coast of the United States especially in Florida.

Yaupon holly is the only naturally caffeinated plant native to North America. For millennia, Indigenous communities across the Southeast brewed it for ceremony, clarity, and communal rituals.
1500s–1700s
