Our Farm's Experience with Hurricanes Milton and Helene

Our Farm's Experience with Hurricanes Milton and Helene

How Hurricane Milton and Helene Impacted Our Florida Farm and Yaupon Tea Production

Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene hit us with a double whammy this season, temporarily closing down our historic farm operations. While both storms brought challenges, Hurricane Milton was especially severe for our farm and office locations in New Smyrna Beach and Crescent City.

Impact of Hurricane Milton on New Smyrna Beach

Our office in New Smyrna Beach faced intense conditions, with wind gusts exceeding 100 mph and over 18 inches of rainfall. The power outage lasted for several days, halting operations temporarily. Thankfully, our team was safe, and we were able to restore services once the storm passed.

Crescent City Farm: Recovery After the Storms

Our historic Crescent City farm also endured significant challenges. Power and water services were down for five days, and while we sustained some minor roof damage, we're grateful it wasn’t worse. Compared to the extensive damage many Florida residents experienced, we consider ourselves fortunate.

Getting Back to Yaupon Tea Production

Despite these disruptions, we are happy to report that our farm and production facilities are back up and running! We’re committed to bringing you the same quality Yaupon tea you love, including our American Green, Fire Roasted Warrior's, and Florida Chai blends. The resilience of our team and the support from our community have been invaluable.

We appreciate your patience during this time, and we're excited to continue crafting our regenerative, naturally caffeinated tea for you.
